At Myant, we are creating the world’s first expressive and continuous digital presence platform, enabled by integrating technology directly into clothing and augmented by other devices, wearables, and IOT. We see the evolution of society where every member gets to participate from anywhere and anytime through a whole-body experience, mostly in a passive or ambient manner to foster ubiquitous accessibility. Humans have a fundamental desire and need to be connected to our environment, family, community, and technology. This level of connection will create a paradigm shift in the way we deal with each other, especially from afar, allowing for more meaningful relationships, and more in-depth representation of ourselves.

The need for this type of connection is not new. There are many companies working on ways to connect humans in singularity with technology, however most of these technologies are based on devices that are often used in episodical ways hence, leading to poor adoption or reliability. In general, innovation and technology have delivered significant benefits for many members of society. However, there are those who are left behind, namely the very young, the marginalized, the old and the sick. The challenge of inclusion for those left behind requires us to move beyond device focused strategies, towards an interface that we use naturally, every day. We believe that textile is that primary interface, used in clothing, coverings, carpeting and more, we wear and are surrounded by textiles universally, always.

Such an interface could fuse data with other devices that we use periodically and data with other IoTs in the environment. People could then leverage their physical presence over their digital presence to communicate and share personal wellbeing. This could unlock healthcare that is proactive and preventative, social connectedness that is more profound, enable care distribution models to be seamless and on demand, better fitness insights, safer working environments and more.

The vision for SKIIN -our first consumer-facing brand- is to enhance human ability through connected clothing and textiles. Skiin is in beta-phase market launch and has been recently granted Health Canada medical device license and submitted to FDA for regulatory approval in the US market. The sensors and actuators embedded within our apparel create your Digital Identity, which will be consumed by those who matter to you - your family members, physicians, trainers, other IoT devices - without you consciously having to think about it. The line between the digital and physical world is becoming increasingly blurry and we believe textile is the next medium to bridge that gap.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations & Logistics Manager to join our growing team at Myant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in establishing logistics and inventory processes from scratch, managing shipping operations, overseeing external fulfillment centers, and proficiently utilizing ERP systems (preferably Plex ERP). This role will be crucial in developing efficient logistical processes for distributing, managing, refurbishing, and returning Skiin medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping Operations: Coordinate and manage the timely and efficient shipping of Skiin units to clients (clinics) while ensuring product integrity and regulatory compliance.
Inventory Management at Client Sites: Establish systems and procedures for accurately tracking and managing inventory held at client (clinic) locations.
Returns and Refurbishment: Develop and oversee robust processes for managing returns, including washing, refurbishing, quality inspection, and reintroduction into inventory.
Process Creation & Implementation: Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end logistics and inventory processes from the ground up, tailored to the unique needs of a scaling medtech operation.
External Fulfillment Center Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external fulfillment centers. Manage outsourced product storage, packing, and shipping, ensuring timely and cost-effective order fulfillment. Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of fulfillment partners.
ERP System Implementation and Optimization: Lead the configuration, optimization, and management of the ERP system (Plex ERP or similar), ensuring effective inventory tracking, logistics management, and streamlined operational workflows.
Cost Accounting and Financial Negotiation: Proficiently track and report all logistics-related costs, including shipping, storage, handling, and inventory management. Negotiate costs with suppliers and fulfillment partners to ensure cost-effectiveness and manage variable costs efficiently. Provide real-time updates to senior management regarding logistics expenditures and financial performance. Collaborate closely with finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and KPI tracking.
Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure all logistics processes comply with regulatory requirements, especially in the medical device industry (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR). Maintain proper documentation, certifications, and safety protocols. Manage and uphold the compliance standards specific to medical device inventory and logistics.
Cleaning Validation: Define and oversee cleaning and refurbishment protocols, including the validation of washing processes and hygiene standards required for medical-grade devices.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve logistics and inventory management processes to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs. Identify improvement areas and recommend strategies for system enhancements and cost-saving initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including procurement, production, quality assurance, and customer service to ensure efficient product flow across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience establishing logistics, shipping, and inventory processes in startup or rapidly scaling environments, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.
Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Plex ERP or comparable systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), with demonstrated success in configuring and implementing inventory management modules.
