Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly execution-focused and adaptable HR Generalist to support our growing global workforce. Based in Mississauga, this role will provide end-to-end HR support across Canada while also supporting our U.S. employees.
As an HR Generalist, reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will serve as a key HR partner to employees and leaders across the organization. You will support the implementation of HR policies and programs, provide guidance on employee relations matters, and help drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle.
This role will work primarily on site at our Mississauga Research & Development Centre, and will contribute to building a high-performing, engaged workforce within a dynamic environment by supporting talent and organizational initiatives aligned to business priorities. You will participate in company-wide programs such as compensation and salary reviews, workforce planning, and talent management and succession planning. Additionally, you will help ensure effective day-to-day HR operations, supporting administrative efficiency and consistency across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to talent initiatives including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and performance management
- Deliver a seamless and consistent onboarding experience across geographies
- Contribute to talent pipeline development, including early talent and campus relationships where applicable
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and documentation for Canadian and U.S. employees
- Partner with Managers to support U.S. HR administration
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring alignment across jurisdictions (Canada & U.S.)
- Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication, stakeholder alignment, and sustained engagement
- Contribute to HR projects and programs aligned with business priorities and organizational growth
- Support payroll inputs and coordination (Canada & U.S. where applicable)
- Support the execution of employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback cycles, and action planning
- Coordinate and execute employee programs, events, and initiatives that reinforce company values and culture
- Partner with HR leadership to operationalize culture priorities across the organization
- Support performance management cycles, including goal setting and feedback processes as well as year end reviews
- Assist in identifying development needs and coordinating learning and development initiatives
- Contribute to early-stage succession planning and talent development efforts
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and program effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with mandatory experience supporting or working with U.S. HR practices
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles and functions
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance considerations across jurisdictions
- Experience in high-growth or post-acquisition environments is highly preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and execution
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all levels
- Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and supporting evolving organizational needs
