Engineering Project Manger

About us:

At Myant, we are creating the world’s first textile computing platform, integrating technology directly into the only thing we’ve been wearing our entire life – clothing. SKIIN is our first consumer facing brand, and SKIIN’s vision is to enhance human ability through connected clothing - think Ironman’s suit, but comfortable. The sensors and actuators embedded within our apparel create your Digital Identity, which will be consumed by those who matter to you - your family members, doctors, coaches, other IoT devices - without you consciously having to think about it. Imagine a world where you walk into your house and the temperature automatically adjusts to your optimal body temperature, the lights adjust to your mood, or your doctor is aware of the onset of a disease before you even visit. The line between the digital and physical world is becoming increasingly blurry, and we believe textile is the next medium to bridge that gap.

We’re looking for people who believe in our mission to make wearable technology truly ubiquitous and convenient, so that everyone can benefit from it. We are a cross-functional team solving big challenges at the intersection of fashion, electronics, software, and data science.

You:

You’re excited at the prospect of playing a pivotal role in bringing our products to market. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty by doing lots of hands-on work, but you’re also a strategic thinker with insight and creativity. You’re excited at the prospect of working on a new brand and cementing it as leader in the wearable technology space. Lastly, you enjoy being part of small teams that make a big impact and that’s the reason being at a startup is the right place for you.

The Position:

You will work closely with design engineering, internal textile manufacturing teams, key suppliers, and contract manufacturers to execute a seamless product launch including factory startup, ramp and delivery to customers.

Develop pre-launch and ramp build plans.

Develop and own manufacturing metrics such as schedule, cost, yield, and quality.

Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams to develop manufacturing process flows, floor layout, capacity model, equipment/ fixture designs, implementation schedules and validation plans prior to builds.

Establish Quality programs and Manufacturing Process Control Plans for early detection of issues and to ensure highest level of Quality and Reliability is consistently delivered.

Heads-up technical issue resolution related to manufacturing process control and capability. Technical experience working in factories ramping operations with multiple production lines.

Lead and coordinate DFx activities with engineering and contract manufacturers.

Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or related field.
